Bijou & Belle is a UK book gift box company creating thoughtfully curated, non-subscription book gift boxes. Each box includes a carefully selected novel, a choice of tea, coffee or hot chocolate, and a few extra surprises - designed for cosy nights in and meaningful gifting for all bookish people who love reading .

What makes a Bijou & Belle different from other ‘Blind date with a Book’ gift boxes?

Our high quality Blind Date with a Book gift boxes are designed to feel personal, comforting and worth unwrapping. In addition to a book, you can choose tea, coffee or hot chocolate to create a cosy reading experience. They’re perfect as a thoughtful gift for a book lover or as a comforting treat for yourself.
Each box is carefully curated around your chosen genre or theme. The book is wrapped to keep the title a surprise, with a few thoughtful extras included to create a cosy experience. Half the joy is in the mystery 🤍

Are the books new?

At present, all books included in our boxes are brand new unless clearly stated otherwise.
In the future, we may introduce a carefully curated pre-loved option at a lower price point. If and when we do, this will always be clearly labelled so you know exactly what to expect.

What if I already own or have read the book?

Because our Blind Date boxes are a surprise selection, we cannot guarantee you won’t receive a title you already own or have read.
Many of our customers choose to gift, swap, donate or re-love the book if this happens - letting the story continue its journey.
If you’re unsure before ordering, feel free to contact us and we’ll always try to help you.

Can I request a specific author or title?

To preserve the surprise element, we’re unable to guarantee specific titles. However, if you have strong preferences (for example, “no dark thrillers” or “only PG-level romance” or “I’ve read every book by XYZ-author”), you’re welcome to leave a note at checkout or email us at hello@bijouandbelle.com and we’ll do our best to help.

Is this suitable as a gift?

Absolutely 🤍 Our boxes are designed to feel like a thoughtful, ready-made gift. Buy for someone’s birthday, Mothers Day, Christmas, Easter, Valentine’s or as a wonderful comfort gift if they are going through a hard time, or ‘just because’.

If you’re sending directly to the recipient, no pricing information will be included in the parcel.

Do you offer non-subscription book boxes in the UK?

Yes. All Bijou & Belle boxes are one-off purchases - not subscriptions. You can send a single book gift box whenever you like, with free UK delivery.

How long does delivery take?

Bijou & Belle delivers across the UK, with free UK delivery currently included. Orders are dispatched via Royal Mail, Evri or DPD. Delivery times are estimates and may vary slightly, especially during busy periods. You’ll receive confirmation once your order has been dispatched.

Can I return my order?

Yes — you have the right to return your order within 14 days of receiving it. Please see our Returns Policy for full details.

Do you ship the book gift boxes outside the UK?

At the moment, we ship within the UK only.
